First day of School!

Showing up for the first day of school was awesome. The elementary has adopted a super-hero theme this year so when we showed up that morning all the principal and staff were dressed up in costumes and standing out front handing out stickers and pencils to the kids. The had balloons decorating the front of the building and had some music playing. The parent's all got stickers saying we were "super" for walking our kids to school that morning. It was a fun way to start the first day and I think it really got the kids pumped and exited to start school. So far loving the school district here!
After I picked the kids up from their first day I took pictures with them in front of their Elementary sign. There were a ton of kids and moms taking pictures that morning by it so I decided to wait.

The kids loved their first day and loved their teachers. They are excited for the upcoming year.

Summer fun

We had the opportunity to have a mini family reunion in August at my parent's house. Both my brothers and sister were able to make it with their families and we had a blast. My Mother bought the kids a giant blow-up water-slide to play on in the yard. We set up a tent for people to sleep outside. My Mom even borrowed some sheep camps for people to sleep in. The kids loved the water slide and sleeping outside. We had so much fun and it was great to have everyone together.

My little niece Kailyn controlling the water gun. She mostly liked to drink the water that drizzled out of the tubing.

It's not a complete summer trip to Idaho unless you go swimming in the canal. We had inner-tubes, kayaks, and rafts. I grew up swimming in that canal and it's fun to enjoy it with my kids.

Uncle Carl being mischievious. He was the one dumping us out of our rafts and making sure we all got wet.

Madison with Grandma Pam. (Darrington, all the kids have adopted calling her Grandma Pam.)
Good times and the kids enjoyed the canal and all the toys. Thanks to Grandpa and Grandma Darrington for making it such a fun reunion.
