Twins First Day of First Grade

Statton and Cassidy started their first day of First Grade August 20, 2014. They were excited to start school again.

Statton's teacher this year is Mrs. Holm's. He has a big boy desk and everything.
Cassidy's teacher Mrs. Ciz from Kindergarten moved up to First Grade this year so Cassidy was able to move up with her also.
Madison wanted her picture taken as well. We are at the park down from our house waiting for Older brother and sister to get off the bus.

Statton and Cassidy begged me all last year to let them ride the bus. I dropped them off and picked them up almost every day last year with the exception of when Blair would do it.  I told them when they were in First grade I would think about letting them ride the bus. Well sure enough they didn't let me forget that promise. This was their first time riding the bus home from school and I think that it was the highlight of their day. They got off that bus with the hugest smiles on their faces. The bus comes so early in the morning that Blair or I will still take them in the morning but they get to ride the bus home everyday.

American Girl Doll

Cassidy has been wanting an American Girl Doll since the first of the year. I made a deal with her if she would come up with half of the money for her doll that her Dad and I would come up with the other half and buy her the doll of her choice. So she saved some money she received from Christmas and her birthday and she also did some chores and earned her money by June. She was very excited when her doll finally came.

I'm just proud of how hard she worked and saved her money to get something she really wanted.

Coach pitch baseball and football camp

Statton was involved with two sports this summer. At the start of June he started Coach Pitch Baseball. They had one other team they played twice a week for four weeks.

For some reason all the kids fight over who gets to be the catcher and wear all the fun catcher attire. This was Statton when it was his turn. Sometimes he enjoyed playing baseball and sometimes he would be bored and didn't want to go. He enjoyed hitting the ball and running the bases but was bored standing in the outfield.

At the end of June for 3 days, Statton was able to participate in the Big Horn Football Camp. They had the kids kick and catch the football. Play a few mock games and a bunch of other stuff. Statton really seemed to enjoy Football Camp and looked forward to going. He had a lot of fun.

Last day of School

Last day of Kindergarten! It's been amazing to see how much these two have learned over the school year. How much they have grown and all the wonderful people they have met.

Last day of Storytime

Well for the last day of Storytime the Librarian arranged for different big machines to come over so the kids can see them. The kids stood in the bucket of the backhoe. They were able to see the garbage truck, the cement truck, and a dump truck.

Kindergarten Awards Ceremony

A few days before school let out for the summer the Kindergarten does an award ceremony. Each of the kids got their numbers to 100 awards. Cassidy received the above and beyond award also. Which means she always tries to do her best.

Statton received the LOL award. Which means he does his best at his school work but loves to joke around while he's doing it.

I'm so proud of these two for working so hard this year and doing so well in school.

School Field Day

May 16th the elementary had a field day for all the kids. They had different relays and events set up for all the kids to participate in. These are just a few pictures I grabbed on my phone during the event.

It was a little chilly that day and Cassidy had left her jacket inside the building. So I gave her my hoodie to wear even though it was a little big.

The kids seemed to have a good time . They were ready to be done by the time the last few events were finishing up.
