Thermopolis Getaway

We had a free weekend in December, so as mostly a Christmas gift to me, Blair agreed to take me back to visit Thermopolis and a bunch of our friends for the weekend. We were able to hit the Ward Christmas Party Friday evening and got to see a lot of the ward members that we miss.

Saturday we met a few friends and went sledding on the sled hill in Thermopolis. It's a steep road in Thermopolis they close down in the Winter time and let everyone go sledding on it.

Delanie just enjoying the snow. I think this is the first time I've ever really let her run around outside in it.

After sledding that morning we hit the local hot springs and went swimming that afternoon. After swimming we got cleaned up and had dinner and got ready for the Duncan Annual Adult only Christmas Party. We sent the kids to bed early and stayed up playing games with a bunch of our friends and laughing at all the funny white elephant gifts. We had such a good time and I was sad to leave. Just makes me miss all these wonderful people I knew in Thermopolis and our good friends! Had a blast seeing them all and so glad we made the trip.

School Christmas Performances

The 1st Graders at Perrine Elementary put on a play at Roper Auditorium called "The Littlest Christmas Tree." Statton was a Good King and had a speaking part. Cassidy was a doll and her and about 15 others girls had a little performance they did while singing. It was fun to go and watch them perform.

Madison's school Christmas performance. All the Kindergarten classes sang silly Christmas songs and Madison had the fun part of dressing up like an ornament.

Madison's Christmas Dance Recital

Madison had her Christmas Dance Recital for Julie's Jazzworks on December 5th. She was so excited to perform and she did such a wonderful job. She's been coming home from dance class and showing me the new moves she had learned and part of their dance. She was very cute to watch.

Idaho Power Christmas Party

Idaho Power puts on a Christmas Party every year just for the kids of the employees. We enjoyed going to Canyon Crest Event Center and having cookies, milk, and fruit. They had different activities and games for the kids to do. They even had a guy tying balloon animals! Then each kid got a turn to sit on Santa Clause's lap and they each got a gift. It was so fun and the kids had a good time.

Thanksgiving

We enjoyed Thanksgiving Day at my parent's house. Andrea was nice enough to organize the kids and have them make Reeses Pieces Turkeys. They turned out very cute.
