More ear tubes and tonsilectomy

For Spring Break we decided to go home to Idaho and visit family and also take Statton in to the doctor for a checkup on his ear tubes. Well his appointment didn't go as well as I hoped. Both ears were filling up with fluid and pressure again. He also was experiencing some hearing problems as well due to the fluid build up. So the doctor was nice enough to schedule us in that same week for another set of ear tubes and we also decided to have his tonsils out as well since they were also very enlarged.
So here Statton is on April 10th waiting to go back for surgery. They brought in his mask and let him decorate it with stickers.
This was him right after getting back to the room from recovery. They had to put the pads on the side of his bed because he was rolling around in the bed so much from being in pain. They said he was being an alligator.

Poor kid just wanted to sleep and be left alone. The tube in front of his face is blowing a cool mist to help ease the hurt in his throat.

Here he is with his arm bandaged from his I.V. and ready for his ride out of the hospital. They asked him if he wanted to walk out or ride in the wagon. He chose a wagon ride.
Statton went home and slept the rest of the day. He threw up twice that day. Friday morning he was still feeling pretty bad and the girls and I had  hair appointments that morning so I took a blanket and pillow and he laid in the salon on the floor and watched movies. About an hour into the appointment he was perking up and smiling at me. He did pretty well the rest of the day but was starting to feel poor again that night. By Saturday morning he was running around and doing a lot better. I'm really hoping this is the last set of tubes we need to do. The doctor says if after this set he is still having problems we might need to look into permanent tubes. I hope we don't have to do this.
