Preschool for Madison

Madison has been so excited to start school just like her big brother and sister. Me and some other mom's with kids the same age got together and wanted to do a mommy preschool together. Amy Ready who is over the district preschool and toddler programs for the community offered her facility and resources to help us out. She also volunteered to help over-see our preschool program and help us with a curriculum. We started the Monday after Labor Day. It has been wonderful.

They start the day by finding the coloring page with their name by it. After they color their page they take their name badge and go and answer the question of the day. Then they move to the rug for a book and then do the days of the week and letter of the day. They also do some counting and rhyming. Then they move to the "stations." We have a math station, craft station, and name and letter station. After stations we have free play and then finish off the day on the rug with creative drawing. They practice drawing letters, numbers, and their names.

So this is the whole preschool class. L-R Clay Hubele, Ammon Gevas, Madison Heward, Orion Jenks, Connor Emmett,Jay Emmett, Georgia Emmett, Kacey Mackay.

Just a few final pictures of her first day.
