ultrasound

So I had my ultrasound on wednesday. They checked the amniotic fluid levels to make sure they were adequate and evenly distributed. Fluid levels looked good. They also checked placement of the babies. Our little girl is still breech and our boy is now more head down than transverse. They figured that's what might have saved my water from breaking a few weeks ago because she was sitting breech instead of head down which wasn't putting as much pressure on things. They want to wait atleast another week before doing measurements again but they figured the babies should have gained atleast another 4 ounces each. That would put our little boy at about 3 1/2 pounds and our little girl at almost 3 pounds. The doctor came in later and checked me again, I'm still sitting at 4 cm and 90% effaced. He was thinking of cutting my meds back to every 6 hours instead of 4, but after looking at things he said they feel they need to keep being aggressive with my meds. The doctor did say that IF I make it to 34 weeks they would probably think about taking me off the meds completely and see what my body decides to do. That would only be about another 2 weeks which gives me a timeline to look forward to. So far things are pretty boring. I'm getting in plenty of tv time and try to nap when I can. I appreciate everyone's emails and postings. I look forward to reading them and having contact with the outside world.

Hey Kristen, Its Analee
Im here at my moms for the night Josh had to come to Rupet to bid a job so we all decided to come. We are getting excited for our Temple day. I sent you an announcement but I don't know if Blair brought it down to you. It had a cute picture of the kids in their white clothes holding hands in a circle. its very cute. I know it is hard to stay in the hospital, Carson and my stay wasn't nearly as long as yours has been or will be but I can feel your pain. Good thing you forget how hard it was after you get home and just get to enjoy the new special person ( or persons) in your life. And would gladly do it again for more Babies. Atleast I would. Anyway as hard as it is enjoy this quiet time because you will never have it again. Take care you guys are in our prayers. Lots of love. The Reneaus

Hey Kristen - its your cousin Stephanie here. glad to hear that things have stabilized. If you're looking for a good book, the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer is good and it will take care of a couple days.

We're thinking of you!

Hey Kristen,
I am glad to hear that things are boring! It sounds not nice, but keep it boring for a few more weeks. Then you are allowed to have all heck break loose, okay! We love you and can't wait to see you.

Hi Kristen,
This is Glenden and Patty and we are glad to hear that you are doing well and the babies are not out yet. When we heard about what you were going through we worried about the same thing happening to us, but we are glad that so far we have not had any complications with our twins. We had a dr.'s appt. last week and they estimated the girls weight at 4 lbs and 3 lbs 10oz, so we are really excited about that. When our babies arrive we should definetely get together and take pictures of the four little cousins. Anyway, we hope that everything goes well with you and the babies and that we both make it to as long as possible. Good luck!!

Glad to hear things are going ok. We all have been wondering how things were going with you. Aren't ultrasounds wonderful? At least you know a little of what to expect with the babies developement and everything. I talked to a lady the other day that had twins before ultrasounds were around and she didn't even know that there where two until after the first one was born! I had my u/s the other day and it was so nice to know that everything is developing normally. Not that you ever stop worrying though, right? Anyway, hang in there! Hope all goes well with you!

Hi Kristen-it's Aunt Karen, glad to hear your doing well and hanging in there. Your Dad was in Boise this week and came by to see us. Grant got his other cast on this week and they took the stitches out from the surgery-they are some pretty good scars. He only has to wear the casts for 2 weeks and they will take out the pins on his right arm. They are healing well. He is doing much better since he got the casts on and has the use of his fingers which helps alot. I took Evan and 3 of his friends up skiing today as I haven't been able to go since Grant got hurt 3 weeks ago. It was a beautiful sunshiney day with not a cloud in the sky. It felt good to be outside in the sun again-something you are probably wishing for too. Phil is having hernia surgery next Friday so it's been quite a month with hospitals and caring for family. Good luck with the babies-we pray for you daily. Love, Karen
