Easter Week

Well the week before Easter the local Library had an Easter Egg Hunt after storytime. It also included a visit from the Easter Bunny. The kids had a blast running and finding eggs.

This was after the hunt was over and they were showing me their loot.

Statton and Cassidy were excited to have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny but Madison would have nothing to do with it. I was finally able to drag her over and get a group shot with all of us. She whined a little at first but when she realized she could sit on my lap and not be by the bunny she was fine. Very fun day!

This was our Easter egg dying experience for the year. I'm not one of those mommies who die dozens upon dozens of Easter eggs. First it such a waste when there is only a few of us to eat them and second I really just don't have the room in my fridge to hold that many eggs. So each of the kids got to dye 5 eggs a piece.

So on Saturday the Primary hosted an Easter egg hunt at the church. It was suppose to be outside but it was raining and cool that morning so it was moved to inside the building. The church building we are in has a basement so the bigger kids were kept upstairs while the littler ones were moved downstairs to hunt eggs.

Sunday morning we received a visit from the Easter Bunny. The kids were excited to wake up and search for their baskets.
Statton got a new dress shirt for church.
Cassidy got a new dress for church.

Madison also got a new dress for church. She wasn't as excited to wake up that morning. Church is at 9 so it's a pretty early Easter morning. We also had the opportunity for my parents to visit that weekend with my grandmother. So we met them at church that morning and the kids were excited to spend Easter weekend with their Grandparents. We were sad to send them off after lunch that afternoon.
